Inside your child's day

Our 3-year-old program continues to encourage independence and decision making skills.

The classroom design offers choices through learning centers which cover all of the areas of the preschool curriculum. These centers include Math/Manipulative, Nature & Science, Art Expression, Technology, Literacy, Engineering/Blocks and Dramatic Play. Using learning centers to give children the hands-on experiences and play opportunities they need is important and creates a child based, well rounded curriculum. In addition to learning centers and enrichment activities the children enjoy group and individual activities where they can do what three year olds do best, learn while having fun with their friends!

Our PreK program is designed to prepare our little learners for traditional Kindergarten. Our goal is for the class to be school ready by having the skills necessary to function in a Kindergarten environment.

Most importantly, we want our children to love school and be excited to explore and learn new concepts. Through positive direction and modeling, our teachers will help their class achieve these goals.

Our PreK curriculum is locally aligned and meets the NJ Standards for Preschool to ensure a smooth transition into Kindergarten. The structure of the PreK includes a balance of individual student driven choices and group events such as circle time. Throughout the day the children are engaging all of their senses through activities such as show and tell, music and movement, sensory table and outdoor play. The children enjoy learning how to write through the use of our Handwriting Without Tears program which focuses on multi medias to encourage fine motor skills and letter formation.
